I'm trying to put together a tool bag to keep in one of my saddlebags, or at least one to carry when I venture outside of where I figure a friend can come and help out. Being new to my Harley, I'm not sure which tools are considered the must haves. Not looking to fill both bags, but would like to have a few of the more commonly used ones on hand.

Harley has a all-in-one tool that is pretty handy. It should have some with your new bike.

I have the CruzTools Harley emergency kit, but i only carry it when i'm doing long distance rides. If you don't want to buy the kit, check it out anyway and it will give you a rough idea of what tools are worth carrying.
When working on my bike I always paint the tools i have out a color that just jumps at me (lime Green)
Not fancy paint job, just a drive-by spray can job, just enough to ID it as a green HD tool that I use.
When I go on a long trip, I just grab all the green tools.
No thinking required.

Thanks. I found a Rev3 Tool kit. Much appreciated to all that chimed in.
