I'll be putting 10" apes on my '18 Low Rider. Should I put in solid riser bushings or will I be ok at that height sticking with the stock rubber? Thanks!
Go with the polys. The rubber may seem fine at first but with that extra leverage the bars give you, they will wear out much faster. May as well do it now while you got stuff apart.
You can get by with stock, but good Poly bushings would be MUCH better and they are not expensive. When I installed Yaffe 10 Inch Monkey Bars I bought Drag Specialties Poly Bushings for like $25.00.
At first you will feel more vibration through the bars. But after a while it becomes normal and you don't even notice it.
