I'm looking to repaint my FXDL. I saw a Soft Tail CVO once that had the most GORGEOUS deep shocking dark
blue I have ever seen. It just grabbed your eyeballs and would not let go. That's the color I want.
I have no idea where to begin to try to find this paint and color. The only company I've looked at so far that even comes
close is Eastwood. I know next to nothing about auto/motorcycle paint. I won't be doing the work myself, but
will have a good friend who is an amazing body man do it for me.
Any suggestions on paint brands, particularly ones that carrry bold "3D" colors? I'm not sure if it's "pearl", etc. Looking
for pointers from folks who have done this before.

These can take a lot of skill and sometimes special equipment to apply properly. Can't just use an old Harbor Freight gun and compressor.
House of kolor looks like they have plenty of options at/near the color I'm looking for, thanks for that tip!
Kawickrice: Who is PPG?
House of kolor mentions difficulty. Is this due to having to lay the paint down a certain way in order for the
luminescence and/or reflectivity to be uniform and correct? Kinda like painting with metal flake paint --
gotta make it look even, easy to screw up?

+ 1 on that. There IS a reason excellent painting is so expensive. I began painting in'62. NOTHING is the same. Materials today are very expensive and more difficult to use. The toxicity of these materials can cripple or kill a painter in short order if he is not properly protected. Good luck with your project and a final color choice. The advice of previous are spot on. Hope this helps.

Yikes! I was going to ask a friend of mine to do the work. I'll make sure he is aware of this. I'd guess he is -- he's been going
this for decades.
If you REALLY want to spend a ton of money on paint and get a color that no one else is likely to have, check out Alsa paints. They are the custom, custom stuff.
