You know I thought about this on my ride in this morning. Don't discount the forward controls. Depending on the length of your legs, you may be stretching your lower back by extending your legs more than you are normally used to. Especially for a long period of time.

Just something else to consider.
Could be! My knees are slightly bent, but sitting in one position very long, and I start to"stove-up". Maybe I'll just have an extra beer when my rides are over??????

I was thinking maybe your wallet \\;could be \\;too thick and maybe needs moving to your front pocket. \\; But then it hit me. \\; You bought a Harley - so your wallet ain't never gonna be thick enough to cause a problem from now on....

Back rest saves me. \\; Can't ride wihout one.
Its a good idea to get a set of bars (and seat) that will allow you to change your riding posture every so often. If you can find a comfortable riding position that you can ride for a hour or so in, and then move your body around a bit to another position you will find that the fatigue dont set in as quickly.
