. I have a solo seat with a tour pack mounted on a solo quick detach mounting rack.
as per hd, and the op, he has a solo mount. not sure why, but these locks don't fit solo mounts. the only thing I can think of is that the key is too long and you can't insert it?
I wonder.......do any of the two up detachable luggage racks fit with the tour pack mounted in solo position? If so, the locking latch would work. I was thinking of maybe even modifying the luggage rack if it was a close fit. It would be a tight fit.
I was wondering if the locking hardware was sent wrong or I was doing something wrong. No way to get the key in with the tour pak mounted on the mount. Thanks for verifying I wasn't going drazy.

They say in the details for the lock they dont work with the solo mount, although the sentence is butchered up .
but I use them on my Chopped tour pack on a Solo mount but I modified the key
basically cut the plastic off the long key, drilled a hole in the key, then put it on the key ring with the FOB been using it like that for 6 or 7 years Id guess with no problems.
