Sorry if this is in the wrong place. Just joined up today. I have a 2008 Dyna FXD with a 103 upgrade and hi flow filter. It started hesitating when cruising at random which is scary as **** when your trying to pass a semi at 80 and you get the hesitation. I put in new plugs which seemed to help for a minute but the hesitation isn't going away. I was thinking it might be the coil or the plug wires, not sure.
Also, I tried remapping my FP3 and it doesn't seem to help and even tried an auto tune. The only other thing I can think it might be is an O2 sensor wire maybe?
Start with the most inexpensive solution to your problem. Run a tank of gasoline that has the proper amount of Seafoam or Startron added to it to see if the injectors could possibly use a good cleaning.
By "hesitation" do you mean cutting out or a lack of power like you're riding into a strong headwind? Does it feel like your dropping a cylinder,(a miss) and do you have any dash lights like a check engine light? As someone else said, check for codes.
No error codes which is what makes me really curious. I did get a misfire code before I changed the plugs, but nothing after even when the power drops as I'm riding.

Yes! That's the way to describe it! It's a loss of power and then it feels like it's going to die out and then *poof* it's back. I'm beginning to think it's an O2 sensor wire.
I do that anyway. We spoon nightly. Sometimes I use the fluids from the oil change to make a slip and slide in the garage then flop around in it just to bond to it. Also, it has a birthday party every year. It's not that.
Seems like you would get an error code if it was a sensor or electrical problem.
The problem would be more serious if it was coil. Misfire, backfire. But coil is easy check. https://cartreatments.com/bad-ignition-coil-symptoms/
Any problem when starting?
Could be weak fuel pump
