When you can get the silicone ear plugs molded to fit your ear, so they're comfortable, and block all the wind noise, for only $10 (Radianz) on Amazon, it sure isn't cost prohibitive to protect your hearing. You can also have them molded to fit with your earbuds when you're initially molding them to your ear, and you can then have your music playing through them without any issues, too.

I've never used em or had a stereo on any of my bikes, my required by state law helmet covers my ears and blocks out the wind and to many other noises.
My FF helmet covers my ears too, but there’s still a lot of wind noise. Imagine putting a bucket over your head and blowing an air compressor at it. That’s what riding in a helmet is like. Does it reduce the noise, yes. But that constant wind rushing against the helmet is still pretty loud. Ear plugs make almost all that go away and make noises clearer. Try it sometime and you see that it’s true.
Actually I just bought these (Eargasm) yesterday and get delivered tomorrow. For $34 they have the Regs and Smalls in same container. Got it off of Amazon.

Why spend that much for those, when you can get "custom" molded to fit your ear perfectly for 1/3 the price, and should block as much or more than those others?

I wear ear plugs for every ride over 55 mph and on interstates. Makes the ride MUCH more enjoyable. Funny but you can twist the throttle a lot more when you are not hearing all the wind, engine and road noises.
These are the best ear plugs I have ever found. I had to order my first set from Europe, now you can get them on Amazon.

Thanks! I was going to also post the link directly to the company page (http://www.industrialsafetyproducts....BoC4hUQAvD_BwE), but the price is slightly higher there ($10.10 verses $9.00 from Amazon), which is weird, since you would think it would be LESS getting it directly from the manufacturer instead of from a reseller.
