So I'm looking to replace the fender script on my 2015 Road King to the earlier larger script. My questions is do the fender holes on the old script match the holes on the current script?
Aren't they double-sided tape stick on?

Nope; you're right...they got holes. Dunno if they are interchangeable.
The old and new script each have three prongs that look to match up from photos, but I can't be sure. Somebody on here must have made this change at some point.
One thing to consider. When you remove the script, you will likely see ghosting in the paint. The severity will depend on color, and UV exposure. Pop one off and take a look before proceding further.
I did change the script on my Heritage with that from another model and the holes lined up perfectly, I did buff to remove ghosting from the letters on the originals ( buy new clips they’re cheap) Before After
