Have they denied your application already? They really are not the experts on these bikes like they think they are. They denied mine sending the pictures back and writing aftermarket seat across one of the photos. I called the # they sent me for any questions so I called right away asked them if they had a computer and look up 1967 Sportster. He was back on the phone within 5 minutes telling me I'm approved. If you can send in some "official HD" photos showing your bike and what HD puts out so they can look at the two it might make it easier. These seats are too ugly to be aftermarket. lol Insurance is $311. for a year. Good luck

No denial yet. I'm just getting everything in place before I make an offer on the bike on Monday. The bike already has a collector plate on it ( since Sept of last year ) so ICBC was okay with things then. I just want to go back to the stock exhaust and wanted documentation that the fairing was available as an accessory or option in 1993 on the FLHS. The guys on this page have been great finding the information for me and a sharp parts man at Barnes HD in Langley was able to find a blow up parts diagram of the front end showing the fairing and related parts. I can't see what ICBC, (who as you say, aren't the experts but in this case make the rules) could ask for more than me showing them over 3 pages of genuine HD parts and accessory catalogue pages.

I do have the option to buy the bike with either the fairing or the windshield which originally came on the bike. The fairing really appeals to me though.

I thought that was the whole reason for the FLHS..... S for Sport. It was a stripped down FL.... no bags, no fairings.
