If I could sell a used bike for more than I paid new, I would do it. The problem with collectibles is you get into that mindset of every mile decreases its value and maybe stop using it, then it just becomes garage furniture, I wouldn't want something like that.

They're currently going for more than new, even in the Midwest where no one wants a Dyna of any kind. IF I were to get a geezer glide, it would be the RG, but there's no way in hell I'm trading my LRS for it.

I'm curious why are they considered more collectible than the Softail Slim S or Fat Boy S of the same year.

I didn't buy mine to be a collectible, I wanted a smaller better handling bike than my RG and it was a bonus gettting a 110 with factory cruise control, anti lock brakes and alarm system.

PS I was looking to buy the Lowrider S. My local just sold theirs after having it nearly a year to another dealership. I test rode the slim & liked it.

It's the spritual replacement for the FXR. The fat boy and slim, to my knowledge, is just the same bike with a 110. The LRS came as a mid year model after the FB and Slim were announced, upgraded forks and suspension, colored wheels, speed screen, one-off seat, and the only dyna with cruise and TBW. There was a lot more added than just shoe horning a larger motor in it than the other S series models.

Also, it's the only model of the S series, and the only SE 110, to not have a compensator to squeeze a little more HP/TQ out of it.

Plus the '16 LRS is a Dyna, and the Slim S and Fatboy S are softails. No more Dynas.

Where do you get your information that no one in the Midwest wants a Dyna? I am looking for a Wide Glide to replace the one I traded in for the first Low Rider S I purchased. I liked my Wide Glide so much I went to the dealership for two weeks apologizing to it for "selling it out".

Just a buddies 84 C10 lowrider. Full air bag suspension and cam'ed 350 with some go fast goodies. Just needs a coat of paint obviously.

I have a Dyna and a touring bike. The Dyna is a ton of fun to ride, but if I could only keep one.....it wouldn't be the Dyna.
