Question please help

Im new to the forum and need help I ride a 96 evo chopper with a open primary I had to pull my clutch basket off tonight to change my main drive belt I forgot to loosen the clutch cable adjuster and just pulled the adjuster screw out of the basket when I reinstalled all my parts and reset the clutch basket adjuster screw to where it was prior I now have no clutch my lever is just dangling on my bars any help on fixing this would be greatly appreciated

You may have to check the ball and ramp assembly under the clutch release cover.

I could see having to mess with that if I had loosened my cable (cable end possibly slip out) but all the research Ive done so far makes everything on that side look c clipped in place I had no problems with my clutch prior to this I feel like im missing something so simple that im going to slap myself when I figure it out

Is the long rod in it? (The clutch pushrod that goes from the cable side to the primary side)

The ramp can rotate if the clutch lever is pulled or moved at all. You're gonna have to open the transmission on the right side and reposition the ramp, loosen the cable first or you're spinning your wheels.

P.S., get a service manual so you know what to look for and what to do.
