I am in Eastern Nebraska, so it looks like a 3 day wait. The customer service lady said they would either go out this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Regardless, at least I will have them next week, and definitely before it starts to get real cold.
Call me what you will but I'll be warm when I'm riding. We don't all live in sunny SoCal to experience the lovely climate out there. So...I will take whatever steps required to keep riding as long as I can. And if I was to let name calling have an affect on that, well then that would be my own fault.

RE: Leather Overpants
Hay Joe,
After seeing the picture of you (you look like a line backer) I doubt if you have any problems with being called names!
I was poking fun at Californians wearing leather pants. I should have said "there is a name for guys in California wearing leather pants." Actually guys wearing leather pants in San Francisco. Anyway, no offense ment
I've bought leather from JamminLeather and have always been impressed with the quaility. They also have a 4 year 'no fault' warranty you can purchase for $19.95.
Even with the extra 20 bucks, the overpants are still a helluva deal compared to that other brand.

hmmm...selective leather-pant-wearer bashing...Steve, you got it too good down there in soCal...bet you'd be wearin' your own real quick riding in the North-East
Man I appreciate this thread!! I have been contemplating overpants for awhile now as chaps just aren't my thing and I also want something to protect my *** and keep it warm. I am going to try out Jammin Leather as well. I tried some on at the SPI Bikefest, but their sizes run so odd.... and then most of the salesman keep trying to talk you into Chaps as they look cool... who gives a rats ***? I want protection and warmth!!

At 5'9", 260lbs and 60 years old, don't think so. Long johns under jeans with chaps is about as far as I would go.
From some of your posts looks like you got it made down there for riding. Up here we're all waiting for spring already, haha. Makes for a long winter...but I ride whenever possible. Sunny SoCal sounds pretty good though.
