took a nice drive on saturday - about 7 hours to do a 200 mile round trip (got lost for awhile, luv gettin lost, makes the ride longer).
i have 2000 miles on this 07 UC since end of april. haven't ridden much at all in 20 yrs. am relearning. am really finding out that it is a learned skill.
well on the ride out, i was really doing good. i felt like i had been riding for years. every move was like right on.
then on the way back, everything headed down the drain. my stopping was horendous. my turns were lousy. going slow was just wrong. it was like i had never been on a bike before.
it was like having your sports game go to pot for a couple of games. it didn't seem to be for any apparent reason - like tired, the road, whatever.
yup. on a four hour ride last month, everything was awesome. then the last 15 minutes while having to follow cars in a windy backroad I felt like I've never ridden a bike before. I couldn't correctly come into or get out of turns correctly, and almost went into the opposite late once! ACK!!!!! I felt the same as you, just wanted to pull over and stop, but wasn't anywhere to do it for that stretch... I thought it was due to fatigue, but realized later (cause I wasn't tired) that it must have been me trying to follow the cars too closely and riding as if I was a car. I'll smarten up some day.

Sounds like your head was not in it. When this happens to me, I pull over and get a Coke and/or something to eat. Usually hooks me right up. Very easy to get dehydrated when you ride, or just plain tired. Also be careful of heat issues as well.
hate to say - no bars. have just sworn off any kind of alcohol while ridin - can only do one fun thing at a time. just glad that they have finally came up with some real good nonalc beers. not quite the same, but not bad. use to drink and ride. had trouble on the straight rodes. but drove the windy curvy ones with ease. now it's just the opposite :> .
