I would have told my wife that I broke my cams while they were out and need to buy some new ones. Maybe shell believe you?
Well, I keep going into the back yard and looking to see if there is a money tree growing back there, but still no luck. Maybe tomorrow. Until then Ill have to save up enough money to buy the cams, and have the bike tuned afterwards. Wife will get over it if she doesnt like it..... ha
I shut mine down. Calmed myself down, telling myself I was told they would do this. Spent $3k, my first harley. Bought a house during the build, and had to get the bike to the new house in the next week or two.
Maybe I missed something, you pulled the cam plate to change the cam chain tensioners. You left the stock cams in. So why are you doing a dyno with the engine stock, is there a Stage 1 involved?
No dyno. Reused cams do no need. However, if I changed cams, I would of had to tune. Makes a cam upgrade cost $800-$1000. I had a $600 budget. Couldnt get both cams and a tune done for that.
Oh well, winter project.
I get it. But for me, I think twice, just based on my labor. I don't want to go in again. Ill often replace good parts, since I am in there there. But I also realize it can be PIA if you don't have a tuner, then tuning it, when all you want to do is ride.
I do want to do cams on my 07. First I love the sound, but I think it will cool it down.

Where did you buy your tensioners at? I purchased some off Amazon and one came apart! In the process of returning them and do not want the same brand.
