Default KST Kustom curious

Hey folks, these bars look great- seems like a solid and trustworthy company. Went to local HD dealership yesterday to spec out new bars for my RoadGlide Special (2017). They want 6-8 hours of labor! Saying that fairing needs to come off so it can be done right. I call BS, but thought it run it through here and get an unbiased reply.

thoughts.?

6-8 is about average if they have to extend your brake and clutch lines. What size bars are you getting? Which of the KST offerings are you getting?

I tried out their straight jacket bars and two sets were not bent correctly. The right side was almost an inch lower than the left side in both sets. Not sure about their other bars.

Default Nice bars

I sell KST bars all the time and never had a customer unsatisfied.

All depends on what height of bars you're going for.
Fitted my 14" Spearheads in 3 hours, pretty simple as no brake out clutch lines needed extending.

Any higher you'll need new brake and clutch lines so it'll take much longer.

I am on my 2nd set of KST bars and not nearly as happy with this set as I was the 1st set. I am actually looking to replace them with the Road 6 offering. I like the slightly narrower end to end.

Thank you! I was looking at the Speadhead 14". That's discouraging about the variation in size! The Harley dealership told me that the 6-8 hours involves removing the fairing, which, if you watch the KST video, doesn't need to be done- though Harley insisted that you have to in order to "do it right".

It's a great video, I watched it a couple of times. Really makes it look pretty simple. Only part that concerns me is the grinding down of the aluminum pin, but that's all. Not too bad

That's exactly what I was looking at (Spearhead 14"). 3 hours isn't bad. Right, 14 inches is the limit to not have to replace any lines. Is that the completed bike in your picture?
