Maybe part of minority, but I really like the tone of my stock pipes. They have enough bark when I open it up, but soft and mellow when cruising. All my buddies told me I would eventually want a louder pipe, but I don't see it happening. I don't need more performance either. Call me fat and happy (or is it slap me and call me Shirley?)
I'm with ya. Took all of one week and the stock exhaust came off, and the SEII slip on's, well, slipped on. The bike sounds like a Harley-Davidson now.
wannaby's on Hondas, Yamahas, Suzukis because the jap clones sound like crap with after market exhaust.
I dissagree with that one... the best sounding bike I heard at Delmarva Bike Week back in September was a YAMAHA.... and it looked awsome too... I know that guy spent a lot of time tuning those pipes, and customizing that bike, but I was impressed... then I was even more impressed to find out it was from overseas[:-]

My bike didn't breech the front door of the dealership before I slipped on some SE II's. The V&H long shots that I have now are loud enough to shake the stucco from the neighbors house. Hehe.
