Meh.........Not a fan of that stuff. I used to like it....but it got old quick. Harley's pretty much advertise themselves, adding a skull to it just is hokey in my opinion. Not as hokey as those gross chrome and gold 'Live to Ride' badges though!!!!! Why anyone wants that on their bike is beyond me. Solid chrome or black is all it needs.

Agreed however I think it's still subtle enough to have on. Just don't go overboard with having skulls all over.
Personally not a fan...I go for more of a simple look for the components. But that's me. Nothing against the Willie G stuff...or the flames...or whatever makes your bike yours.
The way I look at it is: Being a creative/art director by trade, I've spent 34 years creating things for the approval of others. My bikes, (and my garage), are mine and the only one I'm creating them for is me. So what others do with their bikes is none of my biz. If Willie G components make 'em happy...awesome!
I dig the Willie G skull. I have a few pieces on my RK, the front fender skirt, both fender lights, brake pedal cover. Those were a gift from a friend dumping a tote full of stuff for his old late 90s Ultra that he no longer had.
I wish I could find a 3 bolt derby cover with the Willie G skull, and the 2 bolt timing cover, since mine is an Evo.
I have the following Willie G collection parts in black on my 18' RKS
Highway pegs
Rider Floorboards
Passenger Floorboards
Air Cleaner Cover
Grips
Front Axel Caps
Timing Cover
Derby Cover
Shifter Pegs
Rear Brake Pedal
For me it's not all about the skulls. It's about the man Willie G Davidson himself and his dedication to our passion. Both in design and lifestyle. The man is a living legend.
I hear that. Looking at the current Softail line Id say his influence is sorely missed.
I realize that Willie is a living legend, but all that skull stuff just screams "hokey". Not as bad as "Live to Ride", but a fair amount of hoke nonetheless. I don't mind the Flames, and I have never been one to have all matching themes on my bike. No where does it say your timing cover gotta match your derby gotta match your air cleaner; I prefer them to be different. Prolly why I never wore 3-piece3 suits.
