So we bought these comms for our trip coming up and have encountered one silly problem to have. We intended to have the comms for traffic and basic communication. We all have touring bikes with upgraded stereo’s. What seems to be happening is that the Cardo works on a VOX system and the microphones are picking up our music and keeping the mic hot all the time. So it is just a cluster @:$;& of noise.
I cannot find anywhere on how to switch the microphone so that it becomes PTT instead of VOX. Is there a way?
I was on hold for over an hour and decided to hang up.
Then I suspect you aren't the only one with this problem. Call tomorrow and put the call on speaker. That's the only way I could be on hold for an hour and change. Either that or contact via email. Best of luck as I can feel your frustration.

Did you go to the Cardo website and register?
I believe there is a community there where you can ask your questions. You can also get updates there and do some programing for the Pack Talk.
There is also a downloadable PDF instruction manual. There is a lot to these devices, takes some time to learn.

I did go and update firmware, read the instructions cover to cover but I did not know there is a forum. I will look into that
Regarding Cardo Support: I found it useless to try e-mail; I found it useless to leave my number for a call back, I found it useless to stay on hold. What did work was just trying to call frequently until I finally got a support person. I put them on speed dial and just hung up if I didn't get someone immediately. I called several times a day for about a week. They sent me a new unit for my problem. This was a few months ago. Sorry I have no more input than already given to actually help with your problem but I remember the hot mic on my 01GW and just shutting the darn thing off because it was so annoying to us and just getting a slap on the back to turn it on when necessary. The Adventure Rider forum has a couple of large threads on Cardo stuff that you might take a look at and find some input.
