I was on a group ride one night years ago, and we were going pretty good down a canyon. On one turn, I could see the sparks from the first guy in the group with footboards. Every time another boarded bike went over that spot, more sparks. I was just saying to myself "here it comes...".
To be honest, I think it was more stressful watching it come than it would have been if I was up front and it hit me by surprise!
Pretty good trick on a stock height RK, maybe you should get some of the titanium studs for the bottoms of the boards, they throw real pretty colors when you drag them. Freaks people out behind you
After a touchdown I always kinda feel like yeah I’m riding the hell out of this big rig.
My Fatboy had so much less lean than the Road King that it was hard not to touch.
There’s an on ramp to I680 that I use to go home daily, I’m usually around 40mph or so and have not scraped on the RK. My FB was throwing sparks at anything over 35.
I’ve had to learn not to on my RK my bags hit right about the time my boards do. The boards are ok but I think when I hit bags it’s a piece of my soul that gets ground off 😂
