It was this company - https://www.fit-ear.com/, I got them when the International Motorcycle show came to Michigan, very comfortable, affordable and the fit is *very* good. I like them, but I dont use them much.

I have trouble getting the foam plugs in my ear properly, Instead I use the ones that have a stick so I can get them in enough to work but these get caught on my helmet and I have tried to research online but there is very little info out there comparing one from the other company’s and when you go to each company website they all claim to be the best. I was looking for some people that had first hand knowledge of these

I went to an ENT to get mine. They made a mold of my ear and a few weeks later I had perfect pair. They make riding much more enjoyable. Get them in different colors. I have red for right and blue for left. It makes it easier to tell which one goes in which ear. I can’t temebrr the brand name and it’s too early to walk to the garage. I’ll try and post later.

I've had 2 pairs made over the years. Not sure I'll have any more made. They can be good...but seem to work out of the ear canal after a while and it gets noisy again.

If you have trouble getting the foam plugs in, you will probably like the molded ones. You have some options when get them made, like having a cord installed to keep them together or getting a little protrusion to grab onto. The ones I use are just flat on the outside, sit flush with my ears. I have never had any issues with them hanging up on my helmet. Like gscully, I get red for the right ear and blue for the left. Almost sounds silly, but it really is nice to just look quick and know which one is which.

guido4198 mentioned them working out of his ears. I have been wearing molded plugs for better than 15 years, many times a week often for several hours at a time, sometimes 10 - 12 hours in a day. I have never had a set that worked out on me. Maybe something was wrong with how they were made, or maybe just a unique shape of the ear canal lets them work loose, but I haven't experienced that.

My ear canals are way to small for off-the-shelf plugs. Fit-ear is best, but they only sell at shows. Big ear is okay, but the fit wasn't as good for me. I had a set of Westones made at an ent, and they were a waste of money - way too small (the canal part was fine, but the plug itself, overall was too small so it didn't really do much to block sound. Just moved around. Hard to describe. The Westone lubricant is great though.

I've also used the silicone moldable plugs for all day comfort as well. But you can only re-use those a few times. The custom plugs are just easier to deal with.

Maybe this would help?

Click
. <-- Vid on proper insertion.

Regarding this vid my friend, I do not use a thumb and 2 fingers as shown in the vid. I use both thumbs and index fingers together. If you would like to meet to put together a short video on how I slowly roll the foam earplugs so it can easily fit into your ear canal, let me know. I would be happy to do it for you.

The above should work perfectly unless.:

1. You have a very, very small ear canal
2. Your ear canal as an early and sharp bend in it

Good luck GW.

Same situation here. I had a custom pair made at an ear/nose/throat doctor and they are good for about the first 30 minutes of riding and then they start to work their way out and get noisy and I can't get them to seal properly again unless I pull over and finagle with them for a bit. I tried the NoNoise style rubber earplugs with the little stem but they were a bit too small for my ear canal which required me to push them in too far to the point it was uncomfortable. Finally just said screw it and now I ride with a full face helmet without earplugs. Kind of a different experience as the exhaust noise really seems to bounce around in the full face helmet compared to the half helmet where all I heard was wind.
