FWIW.
If noise protection is the goal....foam cylindrical ear plugs.
Inexpensive, sanitary, disposable and inexpensive with availability on the road at Walgreens, CVS etc.

Custom made is great for keeping sound in, such as a radio or communicator IMO.
Can be expensive, if lost...ut oh, needs at least weekly cleaning, material choice for comfort is important.

IMO foam functions best as noise protectors.
Good luck with your decision.

I have custom plugs I got made at Sturgis last year from a Fit-Ear vendor booth. Can't remember exactly but they cost around $70. It's the first time I have ever used custom earplugs. They created a mold then I came back in an hour to pick them up.

I notice no difference in sound protection between these and the off-the-shelf foam plugs. They both do the job in that area. But they are more convenient to use and for me, more comfortable. They just pop in and out quickly and I don't have to fuss with them to get them to seal. Instant on and off. They are also more comfortable in my ears for long rides. The foam plugs are not uncomfortable but I can always tell there is something stuck in my ear canal. The custom plugs are easy to forget I have them in. Hard to describe but they act more like a cover rather than a plug. They don't stick as far into the ear canal as the foam plugs. Other than that, they offer the same benefits. They have held up without issue so far and I use them a lot. I have not lost one--a concern before purchase. They come with a small and round case so I just remember to put them in the case when I take them out.

Took a quick shot to show what I mean about the differences and size comparisons:

The foam plug sticks fairly far into my ear canal and then seals. I always feel something is stuck in my ear. The custom plugs I have are molded to fit over the opening to the ear and seals that way -- only a tiny nub protrudes into the ear canal(circled in red) and it actually doesn't touch the walls--at least I don't feel it. Most of the plug sits on the outside of the canal and is molded to the folds and creases of my outer ear. IMO there is a night and day difference in comfort. And they pop right in and out as mentioned.

There are many different custom plug makers available and I assume the end result is only as good as how well they are made so YMMV. Is it worth the price? Something only you can decide. Personally, I am happy with the ones I got and think it was worth the price.

...also when I go back this year I might pick up another set for the range. I have used these plugs at the shooting range and they offer the same sound damping and protection--there is no noticeable difference to me between these and foam or rubber plugs. I would rate them exactly equal in that regards. But I would often leave the plug case in my range bag and forget to put them back in my saddlebag. So I like them enough to buy another set to use exclusively for shooting.

Mine are Westone. Never had a problem with them getting loose.

I have 2 pairs that are custom molded to my ears.

A solid pair, and a pair that I had headphones molded into. LOVE them. I had them made at a local gun show about 10 years ago

My gf and I had a custom set made last time we were at the range. I use them for shooting and riding (not at the same time - yet!) and they work very well in both cases. I think it was $75 a pair. Same thing - she squirted the stuff in our ears and we shot for awhile while they dried.

OP, you can make your own custom plugs. I got my kit on amazon a few years ago for about $12. Mix two parts together and put it in your ears to set. Takes about 10 minutes.
