Default Paint Guns

Since we don't have a painting section I am posting here.

Does anyone have a recomendation on a small paint gun for spraying small parts likeTanks andFenders?
Somethingforcolor and clear coats.

Before any one starts ragging on me saying I should'nt try this I used to work as a painter but that was some 20 years ago.

being that you and I both come from the same time frame for painting
you can never go wrong with a binks gun
but then if you just want a cheap gun to get the job done go Chicago at Harborfreight

as we know these guns work well for a 1 time deal! i painted my bike with a hvlp gun I got on ebay (I already had a cup gun for primer) I think I payed $30 .00 for the gun and It had a great pattern and control but after teardown and cleaning 2 times (base and clear) it does not spray the same!

most of the mid priced mini HVLP guns work well today.

They atomize well and can produce a good spray pattern from pencil to 6-8 inches of fan. We use Sharpe's in our shop if that helps.

I have DeVillbiss, and a small Binks. Like the DV. Easy to use, consistant and easy to clean properly.

Thanks for the responses!

I think I used mostly Binks guns but not finding a good price online or a dealer near me.

I know I bought a cheap gun some years back and after a couple uses it was shot.

Yes, the Sharpe's have a good reputation, decent price and repair parts are available.

Now anyonehave a recomendation for a good quality paint and clear coat?
