Default Floorboard bracket touching heat shield

This is an 06 street Bob with V&H big shots installed. The current floorboard brackets are mounted in the forward position and the one on the exhaust side touches my lower heat shield. The previous owner tried to remedy this by adding spacer washers to the rear mounting bolts. Does anyone know of a bracket that would clear the exhaust? Or maybe a separate bracket that would allow me to pivot the floorboard downward on the heel side of the board. Thanks

Street Bobs come with foot pegs. Mini floor boards are aftermarket and not really designed to fit a Dyna. Gotta improvise. Might wanna try longer bolts and chrome spacers. Your friendly local Ace Hardware has a good assortment to choose from. Good luck.

Not a problem. Loosen head bolts, reposition head pipes, tighten head bolts.

Those 'boards are a factory accessory & were OE on Switchbacks.

Might have to notch the heat shield on the pipes. I'd loosen up the exhaust system slightly & see if it can't be 'massaged' a bit to avoid the bracket first.

Pull the heat shield off and pound a dent in it or cut a notch to clear the bracket.

Ran into the same issue mounting switchback floorboards on my Fatbob. Use "real" spacers, not washers, and proper bolt length.
