Default Brake? Nothing in "tech" threads about this.

08 CVO Springer. 11k miles. REAR. Your Experience please. What pads do you like? Sintered, Non, Ceramic, Other? Cost isn't really a concern. I just want the best. The existing pads don't really look too bad. BUT! the pedal seems to be a little "soft", especially after 50 miles or so. Resevoir is full, no air in line. Rotor looks fine. I may be being a little ****, but I don't want to take any chances. I don't really want a long narrative, just what pads do you like most, Thanks!

Pedal soft you say? Have you been changing brake fluid every two years? I use HD pads

Original brake lines? About to replace mine for the same reason. Sintered pads in PM cailipers.

On a non abs bike I use organic rear pads. They resist lockup a little longer than oem metal sintered pads, especially when wet. If the bike has abs, oem metal sintered pads.

on my Ultra, I have used EBC pads, and liked them, although I burned through them very fast. I currently have cheapie eBay organic pads in now, and they work just fine, just a bit dusty.

I don't think the pads have anything to do with your pedal being soft.

Change the brake fluid and go for a ride.

Remember people, OP specifically instructed us he wants opinions on pads only. No narratives, just pads.

I change my pads every year for under $20 from Amazon. They work just fine.

He had written such a long narrative in his OP, I missed that part.
