The one major chuckle I got out of the 2020's is the elimination of the heel shifter on the touring (non CVO) bikes. If you want the heel shifter it's now a $49.95 accessory.

I don't like the new wheels on the Specials. I prefer the talons on the 18's and 19's. There is too much open space between the "spokes". The 2020 Heritage looks good with chrome again. I like Billiard Burgundy.

I do feel your pain though. Harley hasn't built a motorcycle I really wanted to buy for about 20 years. That has been Harley's dilemma since the '80's at least. On the one hand you have the people who want all the latest technology and gadgetry. On the other, you have the people who think discontinuing the Panhead was a mistake. How do you satisfy both?
Did I ever wish they were dead? Just pointing out the bike will get better when they are gone. They afraid of change, and will just fix what ever problem the factory does not fix. The later I am guilty of too.

I dunno, they have more than one model. Chevy makes a corvette and a Volt, and in between.

WTF. Wow, after years and years. I don't get having just a toe shifter with floorboards. Doesn't seem that it would be as ergonomic as it would be with pegs.

I didn’t like them removing the heel shifter, until I remembered that I always replace my heel shifter with an extended version for extra room anyway. As long as they haven’t made it too expensive to do that, I’m still OK.

They probably figure so many guys take them off anyway, so why waste the money.

I read about poeople on the internet that feel the need to pipe up and say they removed theirs. But I am not sure if I have seen one in the wild removed.

They kept it on CVO, which is the bike they load up with the extras.

I'd probably agree. I'll bet most touring bikes in the wild have a heel shifter. Once you get used to them it's hard to go without. But I'm not sure how many of them are the stock shifters from the factory. A lot of the bikes I notice have replaced them with one of the many P & A options.

I suspect most are stock. I don't people make the effort, but I dunno. I have two touring bikes, for 16 years. This summer I replaced one of the rear shifters. I like it enough. But I do find I don't like my feet so far back. I doubt Ill make the effort to change out the toes, since I have to pull off the heel.

I'll probably do the other. More so cause it has been so many years, since I have added anything to either bike. I was drinking and just felt like doing something. I will say I am not sure why they don't come from the factory a little longer.

I like the heal shifter on my RK because it keeps my boots off of the beautiful primary cover

Give you less and charge you more. Then make the money off the accessory for the customer to put it back on. Fui*&^^ Joke...! Someone also posted they removed the lowers and speakers on the CVO Street Glide I believe. I mean seriously. If the customer doesn't want them on then let the customer take them off, but have the option to put them back on. But take them off from the factory then charge you how much if you want to put them on with the speakers? The MoCo will continue to sink as they have been.
