What is the DV voltage at battery cables and on the lead of the battery?

Cheap and easy is to always check battery cable. You'd be surprised. After that as said get a meter.

I had a similar issue this weekend. I checked cables at the battery and fuses. It turned out that the negative/ground cable connecting to my starter had loosened up.

Flip the kill switch back to "ON".

You can leave at that if you want. But, it's now time to find out WHY it was dead. How old is the battery? How much do you ride the bike? Do you use a battery tender? Is the bike's charging system working as it should? Is there a parasitic drain on the battery?

Here's what you need to do next; after you charge the battery it needs to be load tested. If you can't do that yourself, take the battery to any auto parts store and they will load test it for free. If it's bad it's time for a new battery.

I'd charge battery. Put meter on battery with running make sure 14.4ish DC. I might look at a.c. output on stator depending on time. I may go ride it, being careful. Battery packs are good to have. But if charging system is shot won't do any good.

If the bike sat for long period, I may chalk it to that. Has happened to be newer car, working from home.

Though my bikes have sat a month, multiple bikes, and fall/Spring weather. No tender.
