Im new to the forum , so forgive me if Im posting on the wrong thread
I have a 97 ultra classic , Im going through fuel pumps like a baby going through a diaper
my original Harley fuel pump died. , bought a fuel pump from quantum fuel systems Worked for a couple of weeks then died . They gave me a new replacement. Several weeks later , the same thing , just quit working . I have power through everything, fuses are good, there is power to the pump. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
The fuel pump in my 98 RKC was still working fine when I replaced it at around 90k on the clock. I replaced it with an off brand that I got through amazon:
How many fuel pumps have you gone through? Fuel pump issues are fairly uncommon with EVOs. The next time you have a failure, wire it up to a 12v battery and see if it runs.
If a tanks get relined, and if not done properly, after some time the liner deteriorates and mucks up the tank and fuel pump, happened on a 10 year old dyna of mine, got to the bottom of it after the second pump in a couple of weeks
Same brand Harley uses at fraction of the price. Don't forget the strainer, it's better than the original. I've been running this pump for long time now. I have another (walbro)pump that was rated at 42 psi that was a bit lean for my 88ci, that I took out for this one. Still have the stock one that still holds good psi and ran good , but volume seemed low.
