I see cops with non working brake or tail lights all the time. Do they get ticketed nope!!!

under 600 bucks is not that big of a fine to be bragging about which is what you are doing. I think a no insurance ticket alone is 600 bucks around here.

i think the reason for this topic was that it was a sportbike and this LEO has a complex and probably goes aorund pickin on sportbikes all the time. Not saying this instant is an example of that as he had a reason to stop the bike to go on his fishin expedition. But to get off work and come on a forum to brag about it is like a laugh in the guys face.

It is like the AH motorcycle cop who passed me going the opposit direction on my R1 on Tropicana Ave. He flipped a Uturn and pulled up along side of me on my bike and said "do you always drivye with yoru brights on" this was at 2 in the afternoon. I hit my high beam switch and said nope!!!!!
Well THEN he pulled me over.. for what:? cause he was just shown he was a punk a$$ cop fishing for crap. I complied with his erquest for insurance and registartion and he was threatening to tow my bike for not complying with state law... (the bike was less then 1 month old and was to Yamaha specs)
We went round and round and he finally said i am doing you a favor by not impounding your bike... I said dont do me a Fing favor.. tow it... lets go to court.... He did not... but I bet he went on some board and bragged about him being puinked by a punk kid... (NOT) He more like said this kid acted as though I could not do anything... Ya, he could... I would have loved to take that one to court with him.

You all have to be kidding. Several of these posts are attacking LEO for hopefully helping keep some kid from hurting himself or others...at least for the evening? Getting in his pocket with fines will hopefully help him to re-think the idea that he needs to follow the laws.

The ones of you that write these attacks...are you law abiding? Or are you the "cool outlaw biker" types. I don't have a problem following the laws (for the most part) and I think that others should also do it. I have to pay insurance....why don't they? I have to register my bike....why don't they?

I agree that everyone should have registration and insurance.

My reemark however is that some laws on the books are actually unlawful and I choose to ignore them.

If I get caught I will take my lumps and move on.

But I will not comply with an unjust law.

Well , I pulled over a crotch rocket last night. Dude got $593.00 worth of tickets. I stopped him for his taillight being out ( I was just going to warn a fellow rider about the light), when I got closer I saw that his Registration was expired by 5 months, Then he tells me he does not have insurance, then I notice he does not have a motorcycle endorsement. I cut him a break by nottowing the bike, allowing him and his buddy to push it home. I hate when people think they don't have to comply. Just sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry, but bragging about your huge conquests does not impress me. So you busted some kid on a motorcycle for a tailight. Is it just me, I just don't understand how this becomes so news worthy? Perhaps busting some real criminals would be worth reading about. You never read muchabout that.

Since the forum has so many cops, why don't you request a new section for cops to brag about thier traffic violation tickets, so they can pat each other on the back.

I know my post may not seem respectful of LEO's, but everytime I read some moron post about giving out a stupid ticket, I loose respect. Are there not enough real criminals in your day to post about? Something news worthy, perhaps? In short your postis puerile and uninteresting. Maybe if you used more smileys it would be more pleasing to the eye.

I bet in your opinion, it would be news worthy if it were a cop that got stopped and tagged with a pile of tickets, huh?

For argument's sake, lets say that the Officer gave him a verbal warning for the tail light, and didnt' bother to check for D/L, registration, insurance, etc. Then Sportbike Sam goes blasting down the road, and kills somebody. Who's fault is it then? I am betting you would hold the Officer partially liable, for not doing his job.

He stopped a kid for a tail light violation, and found a bunch of other violations. Moral of the story....if you're not legal, don't drive.

I don't see it as bragging at all. I see it as someone who was doing their job and while doing it found more than it originally appeared to be. If the officer was sitting in the restaurant drinking a cup of coffee you would be ripping on him for that. If you had been in an accident with this kid you would have been complaining on why didn't this kid have insurance.

Wow, around here the cops are wrong no matter what they do. Work, doing their job is wrong, take a break or give someone a break and that is wrong too. Those guys just can't win. I bet I know who everybody calls when their house gets broken into or if their ride was stolen. You can say you wouldn't but we all know the truth. And as far as the "real criminals" goes, can you imagine what it would be like out on the road if there was no traffic enforcement?

Wow, give so165 a break.

The man's doing his job as a LEO, sees someone driving with their taillight out and pulls him over to let him know about the light..he even explained he just planned to give the guy a warning.

Then he realizes the guy doesn't have an endorsement, an expired registration, and no insurance. I'm glad he gave the guy multiple tickets...I wouldn't want someone like that on the road behind me or blowing past in the same lane like so many of the sport bikers do on the mountain roads where I like to ride.

I was going to let your post slide, right up to the point where you called him a moron. BUUUUTTTTTTT not gonna happen now. You talk about respect and then turn around and call the guy a moron.Sounds like you have a real good handle on what respect means.

Read the rules and how they apply to name calling and then have some respect for the owner of this web site, theadminstration, moderators and most importantly the membersand try to follow them in a RESPECTFUL manner.
