I see cops with non working brake or tail lights all the time. Do they get ticketed nope!!!

under 600 bucks is not that big of a fine to be bragging about which is what you are doing. I think a no insurance ticket alone is 600 bucks around here.

i think the reason for this topic was that it was a sportbike and this LEO has a complex and probably goes aorund pickin on sportbikes all the time. Not saying this instant is an example of that as he had a reason to stop the bike to go on his fishin expedition. But to get off work and come on a forum to brag about it is like a laugh in the guys face.

It is like the AH motorcycle cop who passed me going the opposit direction on my R1 on Tropicana Ave. He flipped a Uturn and pulled up along side of me on my bike and said "do you always drivye with yoru brights on" this was at 2 in the afternoon. I hit my high beam switch and said nope!!!!!
Well THEN he pulled me over.. for what:? cause he was just shown he was a punk a$$ cop fishing for crap. I complied with his erquest for insurance and registartion and he was threatening to tow my bike for not complying with state law... (the bike was less then 1 month old and was to Yamaha specs)
We went round and round and he finally said i am doing you a favor by not impounding your bike... I said dont do me a Fing favor.. tow it... lets go to court.... He did not... but I bet he went on some board and bragged about him being puinked by a punk kid... (NOT) He more like said this kid acted as though I could not do anything... Ya, he could... I would have loved to take that one to court with him.
Why don't you quit your inept attempt at cop bashing along with "RacknRail", and with seeing your attitude with LEO's,you will probably always get the maximum fine you deserve whenever you get pulled over for somethingby giving the LEO aration ofsh*t. JMHO
actually I happily will go to court against any LEO if I know what he is doing is WRONG wether the law argrees with him or not. 3 cases goneto court... I won all three

You all have to be kidding. Several of these posts are attacking LEO for hopefully helping keep some kid from hurting himself or others...at least for the evening? Getting in his pocket with fines will hopefully help him to re-think the idea that he needs to follow the laws.

The ones of you that write these attacks...are you law abiding? Or are you the "cool outlaw biker" types. I don't have a problem following the laws (for the most part) and I think that others should also do it. I have to pay insurance....why don't they? I have to register my bike....why don't they?

not one time did I say that it was wrong what he did.... You tellin me that this is the first time he has given a no insurance or no registration ticket? HELL NO but because this one was on a sportbike he had to brag on this board......

I pay insurance andI pay Registration, I see people with expired tags on their cars from up to a year ago and wonder how they are still driving..... it blows my mind thay hev not been caught yet.

There are riders that deserve a break and those that don't. Sounds like this dumbass got what he deserved. Might have even saved his life.
Never disagreed with that

Well , I pulled over a crotch rocket last night. Dude got $593.00 worth of tickets. I stopped him for his taillight being out ( I was just going to warn a fellow rider about the light), when I got closer I saw that his Registration was expired by 5 months, Then he tells me he does not have insurance, then I notice he does not have a motorcycle endorsement. I cut him a break by nottowing the bike, allowing him and his buddy to push it home. I hate when people think they don't have to comply. Just sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see you are from Clarksville Tn., are you acity, county officer, or state trooper? I get up that way occasionally, and I have gone over the speedlimit justa tad on the freeway through there, what do y'all usually allow without a pullover, just wondering.

Oh, and for the record most my friends are city, state or sheriffs..

They will all tell you that they get special treatments ALL the time. SO no reason to brag baout gettin a kill

Hell, in Vegas every metro officer as a license plate frame that is black and says Las Vegas on the top and KOM 374 on the bottom which means they are an imediate family member of a metro officer.. what reason in the world would they need those? so cops see them and dont pull them over...

Seems to be keeping a rational discussion here.

You all know I am a LEO so I'm prefacing this with I could care less about emoting your personal feelings about cops, good or bad.

Let's just keep it "friendly" guys.

SO165,
You did your job either way we get people second guessing everything that is done. Everyone wants to say what should have been done or they know it better. Since all of you are so wise and knowing trade with one of us. I do both police and fire.
You make a split second decision and then the whole world thinks they know better. SO165 got his point accross with issuing citiations and also some warnings and did not tow the motorcycle. I will issue and warn as well. Bragging would be writing more tickets then laughing while the tow truck picked up the bike. So big deal you have friends that are in law enforcement do give them as much Sh$t.

Yes there are LEO's that are F ups, there are in every line of work.
Last time I checked there have not been a rash of office related deaths of infected paper cuts unlike my brothers and sisters in the fire service and police service everyday.
