I have done both, and still do. Sometimes I like to know how well my knee is doing since I shattered it a few years ago. So far, so good.

Sure I don't want to look like a panzy, but thats not all Stopping and having her get off in the road, isn't a great option

I didn't read the replies but I can answer the question. Drive the passenger or her up to the door, let them off then go park the bike. It's as simple as 123.....

Depends on the passenger.... Wife can't get off the bike with me on it (Bad knee and can't get her leg over the tour pack.) so unless I need her to dismount, she stays on (about 80% of the time). My daughter doesn't need to, she weighs maybe 100 pounds soaking wet, but she will hop off so I can fold up the passenger boards and have more leg movement.

Wife has trouble getting off if I am still on. I am pretty big so I can just muscle it in there.

I'm a big guy, the bike is about 900, and let's just say my wife is a woman who enjoys the occasional second helping....

...it really doesn't make much of a difference either way.

She's been through the academy with me and she is a good rider, but we are working on her mounting and dismounting skills. I don't mind if she uses me to steady herself, but the force she puts on my has to be downward vertical only. She has pulled me horizontally a few times and even though she is my lovely bride, she gets the stink eye and strong objection. She's getting better though. It's kind of a joke now, every time she gets on, we rate her performance.

Now if I only I could get her to work harder in other performance areas....the mount....the dismount....vertical pressure....pulling me to the side....

Depends on the traffic, the condition or where I am parking and if it is uphill , the beginning of a ride or the end of a long day of riding. My wife is a good passenger and when we are about to park she will ask do you want me to get off the bike first or wait. Also will depend on which bike I am riding and if we are traveling and have luggage.

I will have my wife get off if its a must back in, most times I just pull into a spot, not out to impress anyone.
