Website Ripoff!
ALCON,
It is my duty to inform everyone on the forum of a website that is ripping off a customer. Be very weary of Motorcyclestyle.com . As a member I've obtained a wealth of information from VTWIN TALK Forums. I thank you all for sharing your thoughts and experiences. In this case, I ordered a Corbin seat from Motorcyclestyle.com. A few days later my account was charged for the seat and figured the order was shipped. A week later I email the Website and request for a status on the shipment. I receive no reply. I then call the Website and get a song and dance about their email being down and the seat being on backorder. I was then promised a refund. This was THREE WEEKS AGO! Now, each time I call, I get put on indefinite hold for an extended period (20+ minutes) until I have to hang up since it's wasting my calling card minutes. I am a soldier stationed overseas in South korea. At this point, I am having to dispute the charge thru my bank and hope to get my money back. Does anyone have any advice they can share with me.
Thanks,
Ray Myers

I hate to hear that. I had a case with a seller on ebay that charged me and never shipped the goods. Luckily I had used paypal and they got it straight for me.
Ask your bank to have them investigated.

Hey Ray, sorry to hear about your struggles with these people. As a small business owner I can tell you if you inform your credit card company about this you should get your money back no problem. It's called a charge back. We had customers buy products from us and then claim never to have received them (which of course is not true) and even after producing a tracking and delivery confirmation the credit card company deducts the money from my account and refunds it to the card holder. Of course in those few times it has happened to us I wasn't happy about it because some wise guy essentially ripped us off. But through all this I learned it's always the seller that gets stuck with the bill. You shouldn't have any problems. Good luck!
I went to their site & tried to contact them but that feature wouldn't work for me. I was going to suggest that the filty low life pieces of fecal matter correct your situation. I'd contact Corbin as I am certain that they don't want this type scum selling their products.
If the seat is not delivered by the time your next credit card statement is received, you should dispute the charge. I don't think that it will be taken off the account, but Mastercard or whoever should freeze the charge while they investigate the problem with the vendor. Be sure that you don't wait too long, the credit card contract gives you a set amount of time to dispute the charge. If not done within that timeframe, they'll presume that you have no problem and then you'll be stuck paying for a seat that you never received- screwed over twice. Don't let that happen. Just a little unsolicited advice, my $.02.
Definitely on board with what everyone is saying. Make two phone calls: One to the bank that issued your card, even if it's a checkcard, if it has a Visa logo on it, you have buyer protection...they'll refund for you, AND look into the vendor. Second call to Corbin direct to inform them of the vendor's behavior. As a nationally recognized supplier, they have no interest in having their name associated with poor service, or at worst outright theft!!
Thanks for your service and good luck resolving the issue.

Too bad that you have to go through all that crap. Makes a person wonder sometimes about ordering things instead of being able to buy them in a store. Good luck

Thanks for all your advice and support. I'll keep the forum updated on my progress with this vendor. I've seen this vendor recommended on a few websites and wanted to get the word out before anyone else got screwed.
