PayPal Refund Policy: Re: Eastern Performnace
Igot an email notice from PayPal yeaterday about a refund. When I checked...it was $3.56 less than what I paid. I thought this was an oversight an called today. The fellow I spoke with said that was their PayPal charge
If any Paypal account owner refunds a payment back through Paypal to a customer, within 60 days, that account owner receives a credit back from Paypal for the chargers incurred.
The account holder hits the "refund" button on the transaction, fills in the amount of the refund (any amount up to 100%), and paypal automatically calculates the %refund of their charges and instantly credits the account holder.
Eastern Performance therefore owes the money to their customer, as they would have received a credit from paypal immediately upon refund to their customer, if they did it right.
From paypal:
Question:
If I send a refund, and it is accepted, are the fees from the original transaction credited to my account?
Answer :
Yes. If you send a full refund using the Issue Refund link, PayPal automatically refunds the transaction fees. If you send a partial refund, PayPal refunds part of the fees, based on the refund amount. If you use Send Money to refund the payment after 60 days, PayPal cannot reimburse the fees for the original transaction.l
Isnt that just sending lambs to the slaughter so to speak.
And also they dont do any special deals for us anyway, I asked the question on a quote I asked for "I am a HD forum member do we get a discount" - Answer "yes but not off the ebay prices only the retail prices" which works out more expensive than ebay anyway.
We want sponsors that will look after us dont we ?? or is someone at the top getting all the kickbacks ????
You've only heard one side of the story,, like Terry said let him find out the other side, this company has been a loyal supporter of this forum which gives people like you and I a place to enjoy Harley's and all the other topics we have here,,,,, without sponsors this post would not even exist.
There are many many people in this forum that have had great experiences with them. Any company doing a lot of business is bound to have some issues or even an employee that is either having a bad day or just shouldn't have answered the phone.
Don't judge a company by one persons experience.
I'd like to see everyone elses experience with them good or bad. I'm sure they will be shown to be a good company to work with and not the evil entity they are being portrayed to be.

And thinking you should get discounted ebay prices from a forum sponsor is just plain out there, ebay parts are already discounted.
