I have the condensation in the speedo issue and they replaced the first one. I had a rattling gas cap too but they replaced that as well. No problem with my kickstand, mine leans over quite well, but the Heritage I rented in Italy had a very upright angle with it's kickstand which made it difficult to park sometimes on steep hills and cambers.
Don’t forget the road crap that accumulates under the saddle all over the electrics because the rear fender is to short, apparently, I haven’t got a new bike so don’t know for sure on this issue.
Been caught in a deluge and have run a lot of miles on dirt roads. Area under my Heritage seat looks just fine. I don't know about other models, but this one doesn't go on my problem list at all.
I own a 17 RGU - No issues, no complaints, no repairs
I owned an 18 FB114 - only issue was a rattling gas cap replaced under warranty
I own a 19 Heritage 114 - Maybe the most competent all arounder I ever owned. I do not like the jiffy stand but it never caused me an issue. No issues, no complaints, no repairs
For those that have an issue with the new stand, have you thought about removing it and replacing it with one from the Evo or Twin Cam era, with a little fabrication?
