Default Anyone with Hawg Halter Brake Calipers?

I have a Hawg Halter (HHI) 4-piston caliper on my rear wheel. Recently, I was riding and completely lost my back brake. The plunger/sprung in the rear master cylinder would not release from the fully depressed brake lever position. I took it apart and and replaced some parts o had from a spare master cylinder I had, and went to bleed brakes. The old bleed screws were in rough shape, so I bought some new bleeder screws. When I verified thread pitch and general length were the same, I must have tossed the screws because I cannot find them anywhere. When trying to bleed brakes, and bleeder completely snugged, I still get brake fluid squirting thru bleeder when pressing brake pedal. I have since bought every 1/4”-28 bleeder available at local auto stores, but same thing. I have bought 1” long and 15/16” long screws and several of the same length with slightly different tapered end lengths, but none of them will ever seal. This is not fluid leaking around threads, it is fluid squirting out end of bleeder just like when you loosen them.

Anyone out there have HHI calipers? Can you tell me what size bleeder screw you use? When my calipers are mounted I have two bleeders - one lower, one upper. The lower bleeder will seal, the upper will not. I have swapped the screws and the lower always seals, the upper will not. I have called HHI and all I got was any standard 1/4”-28 bleeder should work. I asked for spec of their bleeder screws they provide, with no length provided. Anyone can help, I would really appreciate it - lost last 3 weeks of riding over a $5 part. Thanks

Sounds like you already have the correct bleeder screws. When you swapped their position, the same (upper) always leaks.HHI said there is no difference between upper and lower. Is it possible that the caliper isn't buggered up?

Monkeybou22 is correct if HHI said it’s just a standard bleeder then the caliper has to be the issue. How old is the caliper?

Caliper is probably around 10 years old. I am going to pull caliper, pull it apart and see what is going on.
