Shoei for me makes the best ....I ordered a Nolan Trilogy and it was one of the loudest helmets I have owned I packed it and put it on EBay the next day.
Sure this topic has come up before but it's been a few years since I bought a new helmet. Like to hear preferences. Safety and rating is important, but I also want quiet and wind buffeting management. Harley helmets made by HJC don't have the "chin curtain" on many of their models. This makes a huge difference in wind not coming into your helmet. Also want something that would allow speakers and bluetooth connectivity. Thanks.
16 pages is threads with full face helmet in the tile. Many is which are still ongoing!
For those that wear full face helmets, consider equipping them with the Simpson Eject Helmet Removal System. Full face helmets provide more protection than open face helmets but they also pose some special issues with EMT first responders. You don't want an EMT tugging and yanking on your snug fitting helmet to remove it and risk spinal cord injury. The Eject system uses a small plastic air bag that when inflated slowly unfolds and expands gently pushing your helmet off in an emergency. I have them in my bike helmets and race car helmets. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sim-890-01-30
My .02 - Buy the helmet in person as sizing and shaping is different. I love my Arai but have had luck with SHoei as well. To me weight is a concideration as Bells tend to run heavy IMO. Also, I prefer a Snell rated helmet.
I been using a Shoei Neotec modular for the last two years. I am an easy fit, medium size head. The Shoei is the best helmet I've used and I highly recommend it. The modular aspect comes in handy in any number of situations.

This is your answer. Most helmets meet the standards -- but it's all about fit. Find a store where you can wear the helmet for 15-30 minutes. Either that, or use an online retailer that will put up with you returning helmets.
