Default 2003 road King

So my father passed away about 3 months ago the bikes been sitting for about a year and a half just wondering what I need to do it before starting it up and getting going on it

How many miles on the bike and where are the saddlebags?

I would charge the battery fully or buy new if needed, then drain the gas tank and fill with fresh fuel and add sea foam. Start and warm up the engine, then drain engine oil and add fresh oil and filter. Then time for a good cleaning.

Check the oil before you start it along with the tire pressure. Pull the plugs, give the cylinders a shot of light oil first so the rings can soak. Replace the plugs (new) as well. I wouldn't even turn it over till all the suggestions made here are done, especially the fuel. When you dump the Sea Foam to it, use about a third of a can. My condolences about your father!

Check the tires if you plan to ride it. They could be pretty old. Even if they have good tread doesn't mean they are road worthy. Theres a date code stamped on the side. Google it and see when the tires were made, if theyre more than 5 or 6 years old get new ones.

9,800 miles and I think he has them somewhere I have 2 garages of motorcycle parts and car parts to go through

I have the same bike but all black. Always wished I had the silver over black one like yours.
10K miles, that bike is still new!
