Consignment
Be careful. Dealer will ask your minimum acceptable price, they will get a low ball offer then presuure you into selling it. They get their commission and you get screwed. Think about it, they just want the bike gone and what 10% of dropping your price 2k, $200 to them OR its a flat fee, $500-1500 - even worse, they get paid anyway and you lost a ton of money - they don't care. Sell it yourself! Its easy.
Selling on consignment does not favor the seller. Usually, a huge percentage goes to the venue and you get about half of what it's worth. It's like a bad auction with no reserve.

You have NOTHING to lose, except the 5 minutes to take a few pics and the 5 minutes to key in the ad, by putting it up for sale on Craigslist. Yeah, a couple of idiots may call but that's no big deal.
post a few more times and list it here too. Take some good pictures, it always surprises me when someone is trying to sell a $10,000 motorcycle, competing against everyone else selling a $10,000 motorcycle, and there's only a couple shitty pictures
I wondered why I was seeing so many bikes on Facebook. That explains it.
I think Aitch was alluding to parking it someplace with the key in it then taking the insurance pay out.
