GPS doesn't require calibration but I'm not going to explain why to you.

Nope. Certified label is on speedos on police bikes. The same thing is printed on the speedos in police cars and SUV’s. Having the speedos calibrated allows for an officer to stroke a ticket based on pacing.

Mine seems accurate judging by the digital speed signs I've passed.

my speedo is off (reads faster than actual)
^^That^^ according to the roadside radar units first mentioned in post 10

those suggesting it's common for other vehicles to read faster than actual hasn't been my experience (when unmodified)
all my other vehicles have been on the money when going by those radar units

My Road King is exactly 5 MPH off, If it says I am doing 80, I am only going 75. It became that away as soon as I took the 66 tooth pulley off and put the 68 tooth Sportster pulley on. other than that it is on the money. I checked it with the radar sitting on the side of the road that said "your speed is _ _ ."

no, that isn't it. the speedometers that harley sells that have 'certified' manufactured into them (it is not a sticker) are more accurate, whereas the 'normal' speedos can be off by a percentage. normally, it is reading higher than your actual speed. mine is about 2 mph off at 70mph. conversely, they are more expensive to manufacture, and we all know if hd can shave a buck, they will.

for the record, the speedo on my 2002 sportster was 'certified'.

My wife's EG is an x-cop bike and the speedometer has certified in red letters on the face of it.
