Default Does My Bike Have A Problem?

I thought I'd try this forum out before I talk to my local dealership. I have an 18' Street Glide Special. I have chrome tips on the end of the mufflers. While the right one stays shiny and clean, the left tip is starting to show some discoloration from the exhaust. It's been put away for several weeks now. I started it this afternoon and noticed nothing coming out of the right muffler and smoky exhaust ( normal first start on a cold day type ) coming out of the left.
What do you guys think?

yea my old road king did that i just carry a small rag to wipe it off. it must be a 2 into 1 into 2, but not true duals. and my ultra does it as well but not as bad as the road king did. if you had true duals then i would say take it in.

Swap the crap stock exhaust for a 2-1, or true-dual set-up & your problem will go away...and sound much better.

What's already been said. One pipe is mostly for looks and makes things symmetrical on the touring bikes. Very little exhaust cones out compared to the air cleaner side.

the touring bikes do that because of the way the exhaust is configured from the factory. If you put your hands behind each of the exhausts as the bike is idling you will immediately see where the issue lies. As mentioned the left side exhaust is mostly a dummy in order to give the bike symmetry. ill bet a good 85% or more of the exhaust gas volume is coming out the right side.
