different seat on the Heritage could be enough to get you both comfortable . or just take the wife down to the HD dealer and sit on a Road King , see if it's more to your liking .
get sissy bar that's farther back !!!!
Nothing rides as comfy as a late model softail!
Has more suspension travel !
I eventually did get a Road Glide. Had it about a year and really liked it. Then realized I wanted something a little smaller and got a Street Glide a couple months ago. Love that thing.
so, you wanted something smaller and bought the same thing? streetglide/roadglide pretty much the same, same.... (not that there is anything wrong with that...)
Yeah, I know. No tour pak which I'm glad of and the color is what sold me on it. Road Glide was the two tone red. Street is Laguna Orange. Love the color.

Thanks for updating this thread. So many fail to do that, and it really irks some people.

Does the Street Glide really feel smaller? How does it handle? Any notice of weight on the front forks with the Batwing?
I think it does. I noticed it rides a bit stiffer than the road glide and the wife was complaining about the hard bumps so I swapped out the rear stock shocks for a set of progressives and it's a night and day difference. May do the front eventually as well but I love it as is.
Thanks for the update. I ride with some guys and I've watched them go from SG to RG and the other way too. All the baggers are better for what you were wanting, as I'm sure you've learned at this point. I like the looks of the Street Glide and can ride it for hundreds of miles a day for several days back to back but have a blast riding in town with it too.
Just helping you confirm you made the right choice lol. Pics are welcome.
.
I'm thinking it road more stiff because it sits lower. Upgrading the rears is a must and like you, I've yet to do the front to match.
