Riding pants????

If it is cold I wear the First Manufacturing leather pants. No armor but they are very thick and sturdy.

Had a pair of Draggin' Jeans for 12 years. Wore them almost every ride. They had the typical Dad jean look. The newer ones look much better and have an armour option.
This time around I went with a pair of these from Klim. Much cooler in the summer than my old pair!
I wear Aerostitch pants as well.
I ride AGAT. I have the 3 season jacket, so it strips down to mesh in the summer. Which is good till you stop. But at least it keeps the sun off of your arms.
When the temps are approaching high 80's, I'm in jeans, but still mesh jacket, boots, gloves, and full face.

See, I'm of the belief that it's ridiculous to plan on sliding down the highway. It's like saying, "I'll bet you $300 bucks I will fall down before it's all said and done!" I'm not bragging and not saying it can never happen, but I've been riding each and every year for the last 45 years and never been down. Been close, but always managed to stop or avoid a crash by steering around it.
If I believed those of you who say something to the effect of, "There's two kinds of riders; those who have been down and those who will go down," I'd hang it up and just ride my couch until I die. There's always a chance and I know that, but until I simply can't avoid a crash, I will always be trying. I will never say I'm going to crash sooner or later, because after 45 years of avoiding crashes, and the fact that I turn 65 tomorrow, I'd be tempting fate that it would sooner because I don't have that much later left! Anyway back to your question; I dont wear kevlar jean with my padded jacket, 3/4 with often my full face helmet but I do wear FR (Fire Retardant) Jean's with my gear. I used to wear them for work when I worked in the Oil fields and they are double thick and warm as all get out.
I know that leather has been "tested" many times over the years in actual spills so I stick with the old-school protective clothing. I ride with a leather jacket and leather over-pants. Hot, heavy, and cumbersome yes. But I'm older and more experienced now and should be smarter. Unlike when I was younger, I now see value in risk mitigation. ATGATT for me.
