The other thing I can see is that the needle bearing for the secondary shaft doesn't sit flush with the outer casing. Also I can see impact damage to the bearing
lip on the inside of the gearbox (could this have happened by someone trying to find clearance within the case, trying to tap the bearing out)?
Apparently 3-4 other guys have looked at my box & nobody has figured it out yet.

Don't really know the answer, but this is why I ONLY use OEM or SE parts when doing anything internal...I KNOW it will fit. Like I knew there were better choices for cams when I did mine, like Andrews or Woods, but I went with SE because I know the stuff works. And techs are familiar with the stuff.
Fixed it myself, he hadn't oiled the oil seal lip, I will have to buy & install a new one. Bearing is much better with oil on the seal. The dog ring guide hub had been fitted on the mainshaft upside down, causing the box to lock up. I have put this right. Painting the case right now. I guess only time will tell how long it holds together, but next time I will do it myself. Cheers guys....

There is no shrinkage. the guy has to start measuring chit and figure out whats going on. Ask him if he knows what Vernier calipers and micrometers are...
With alot of Chinese parts, some "honing" may be in order. Bearings for example if they are junk fit.

This is why I do my own work. I can screw it up without the high cost of a professional.
Glad you got it sorted.
