Default Impeller wheel problems
Anyone have problems with the chrome bubbling or coming off?
Had two rear replaced. Now front is doing it.
Harley wont replace more than one time. Said its the elements. Funny the last wheel was only on a month.
Can get the wheels powder coated for around $200 (gloss black)

The chrome on a factory new replacement wheel started peeling after only a month? Where is the bike being kept? Any corrosive chemicals being kept near the bike? Pictures please.

I’ve never seen chrome stick well to aluminum.

Are you riding on salted roads? Do you have swimming pool chemicals stores in the same garage or near your bike? Is there corrosion elsewhere on your bike?

The last rear wheel was replaced End of December. Bike is not around any chemicals. I ride all year. Still shouldn't have chrome issues in a only a month . I ride on salt roads, wash bike off when done, with that being said, there are more cars and trucks running around that don't have issues. My BMW Rt had same type wheels and never had any problems like this.

you must be one of the unluckiest people around. i know it happens, but i've never actually met anyone who has had any problem with hd chrome wheels, let alone 3 of them.
