I don't see a problem with it at all. You found a part that fit your needs and got it cheap on top of that. I say roll with it and don't look back. I personally would be more bothered having a gold braided brake line paired with a silver clutch cable but that's where my OCD ends.
The MoCo licenses millions of stickers and emblems. Just shop around and find one that fits and stick it on there. Put the $295 left to good use, or just save it. The COVID hysteria seems to have some staying power. You may need that $$ for something more important.
Now I'm regretting it. Thought about covering it with a tool bag but didn't find anything I like. Wishing I would have just paid the $300 extra to get one that didn't say BIG DOG.

I'm pretty sure it didn't start out gold. Only the section that gets leaked on is that color.
