I have a 08 ultra classic. I put the battery in it this past weekend and got no response when I hit the start button. I have lights radio and fuel injector response but no ignition. Neutral light is also on. I rolled it back and forth so I know its in neutral. I turn off and on the kill switch a few times thinking maybe it was engaged but no ignition. This happened late last season and rolling it back and forth I was able to start it. The battery shows 12.7 charge Any ideas

Have you tried pulling in the clutch and starting it?
I had a similar problem last year and the only way to find it is to chase the power until you find the break. The problem I found was at the fuse block. With a new battery I started at the bars and found I had fire at the kill switch, pressed the switch and had fire at the starter button pressed it and found fire at the fuse block. But no fire at the starter itself. I checked the fuse and it looked good, I changed it anyway, a couple times. Still no fire in the wire at the starter. Then I checked for fire on the under side of the fuse holder in the fuse block and there was the short. The contacts were a little loose and not making good contact so I performed a minor surgery and squeezed them together to tighten the grip on the fuse. Then I added a tie wrap around this area and the fuse and cinched it down tight to minimize vibration from causing it again. Good luck it's probably something simple. Start looking for fire at the starter and work your way back until you find it. Let us know what you find.
