Got 500 miles on my new IIIs and have the buzzing vibration on my 14 Electraglide. It happens from 25 to 40 MPH then smooths out nicely, all the way up to 75 MPH so I know theyre balanced OK. The tire was made in Thailand, week 41 of 2020. The Michelins replaced the H-D Dunlops that I got 18K out of.
Does the buzzing go away after I get some more miles on them? My Dunlops came from Buffalo, right?
I've noticed the buzzing myself. At first I thought maybe I had over torqued the axle. I loosened everything and re-torqued the axle at 5lbs. less. Still buzzing. Mostly noticeable at low speeds. I don't know if it could be the tread pattern. I have a little over 2k on mine now and have been wondering if i should replace my front bearings. Bike has a little over 27k on it. Kinda lost on this one.
Had had C2s on both ends. I was fairly happy with them, except for what seemed to be a rough ride. But, even keeping after the pressure, the front was down to the wear bars after only 7,000 miles. I replaced the front with the C3, and am very happy with it. I now have 1,500 miles on it, and everything I like about the C2 is even better on the C3. And its rides much smoother. Im very happy with it, I havent tried it it in wetter than a mist on the roads. Overall, if the mileage holds up, Id say they are perfect for my riding style.
The C2 rear seems to have a couple more 1,000 miles left. When its time to replace, Ill Definitely Do The C3.
Now after another 1,000 miles mine has the 15 to 35 mph buzz. POS!!
There was a brand new set of C IIIS on my Dyna last year when i bought it . Ive put 2700 miles on it and the back tire is 90% gone also when you turn into a corner the front tire has a vibration . I thought it was a wheel bearing but it was the tire. I would not buy another set highly overated in my opinion .
No issue here. I have 1,500 mi on the rear tire, it's great so far. The front is going on in another 1-2 months. I wonder if a balancing issue may be causing the buzzing/vibration issue?
Used to ride Metzelers, great handling but short life. Michelin are good handling and longer life. Of course I don't canyon carve with my Harley's. Did that with the ZX12R and 14R.
The Harley's are strictly cruzin' and tourin'. For that, I have had great luck with Michelin...
