If you don't mind spending a buck Langlitz is down the coast from you in Portland. Would be worth a road trip to get measured up for one.
+1. Pricey for sure but worth it. Several years ago I was in Portland visiting friends and thought I'd pop by Langlitz's shop to have a look at what all the hype was about. Well, it's certainly not hype. Good people. Each one is custom - built to your measurements. Hated dropping the coin but have zero regrets - its the old saying, "buy once cry once"...Great product and the last leather jacket I'll ever need.
As part of my Road King package I got a FXRG jacket from the previous owner. While I would never have paid $600 for a jacket I've got to say I've really enjoyed using it. It fits great and is extremely comfortable. The protection it provides is another story that I don't want to learn about.
I cant really complain about my Harley-Davidson jacket. Been wearing it for 14 years now, including my accident last year, where it saved my skin-literally-with barely a scuff. Im still wearing it.
"First" good thick leather and awesome gun pocket. Not too expensive.
Bought it when I couldn't afford anything else. It fits well, wears little and has lasted 10 years through every weather. Only cost me $140 new. Got the chaps for another $50. Had an offer last summer in Tahoe when a band member offered me $700 for the jacket but I couldn't ride home without it. You don't always need to pay a lot for protection. Can you do one better Fox Creek?
I went out and bought the Harley FXRG helmet, jacket, pants and gloves. Best riding gear I have owned, you pay up for it (unless you wait till the boxing day blow out deals, like I did, almost 50% off retail, still $1500 for all)
Very impressive in rain and lots of built in vents when the warm weather hits, check it out.
