Default Riding jacket

I am looking at a new riding jacket, I tried a harley Milestone jacket at the dealer. Nice looking jacket it is textile material and i like the looks of it , but it is very stiff. Does anyone have this jacket? Do you like it? Does it stay stiff or does it soften up after time?

The Harley textile jackets are stiff, but they do soften up some after use. I have a leather jacket I seldom use after getting a couple textile jackets. Several advantages over leather incl taking up less space when not using. Here are several websites that have good quality/prices on name brand stuff. Check out their closeout sections first. Go to www.motorcyclegear,com or www.jafrum.com or www.leatherup.com Make sure you read the reviews, most will help you with sizing. Jackets generally run small and you may want to order a size larger then you expect.

My fave Jacket is the H-D Switchback- which is similar in looks to the milestone.

the front and rear panels zip off, leaving a mesh jacket underneath- although the shoulders and outer arms are still the heavier textile.

the jackets take the armor pads for the shoulders and elbows and some also take the cool packs for the back.

vents and useful pockets.

where I live temps run from 50º to 100º, and this jacket covers that whole range quite well.

for warm weather riding, black is not the best color. mine ( I have 2) are light gray and dark grey

sizing runs about true

My GF just bought a ' textile' jacket from leatherup.com[about $90] Kinda wish I had one instead of the Harley leather I just bought!! Nice quality and not 'stiff'..

Buy FXRG and you will never have to buy another jacket. It is well worth the money. I have convinced many to switch to this jacket.

I have this exact jacket and agree with the above. It really is the only jacket that you need to carry for the majority of weather conditions. It also has a rain jacket that snaps in it as well. I would recommend checking dealers at the beginning of winter to see if they put them on sale. I recently bought one while on vacation from a HD Dealer for $175. They normally sale for $350.
