I have a 2014 Ultra Classic, and I put a set of DK Customs 1" lowering blocks. You do not lose travel, you only change the angle, yet the bike rear drops an inch. Did the trick for me and I don't have to walk around in elevator shoes. I am 5'6" with 29" inseam.
I tried a reach seat from HD and hated it. Have not tried a narrowed horn. There is also a narrower primary cover as well. It costs about $325 I think. The reach seat got my feet on the ground more, but even at my less than tall stature, I felt like I was crammed up on top of the tank. Ask a dealer for a demo seat to try, before dropping your cash on them.
I find when walking my bike, the pass floorboard gets in the way as much as anything.
