Anyone seen the 6 axis motorcycle IMU that is miniscule in comparison a fraction of the cost and basically does the same thing? My other iconic branded American motorcycle has one.

RDRS is the same thing as Indian's unit in the Challenger, just Harley got there first as they had it on the Trikes in 2019

And everyone else had it before them. It's been around a long time.

I bet the runout on the gyro is far less than what's on the crank.

Cycle World has some details ...

https://www.cycleworld.com/story/mot...rley-davidson/

So, in true H-D tradition, will there be stage kits one through four? A stage one for minimal gyroscopic interaction/support all the way up to stage four where the gyro really screams (a screamn' eagle, right?) and you can just get off the bike and walk away. Such a "feature" would really be interesting and a hoot to see in action.

I like that it eliminates the need for a jiffy stand.

Honda and BMW have self driving or self balancing bikes, but they use different technology. Also Harley has designed it to fit in a removable tour pack you could install on any touring bikes. Making it a unique implementation of the technology.

You do something unique you patent it.

Just another gizmo that will fail at the most inopportune time and just cost you more $$$ to repair!

That’s gotta be an extremely heavy flywheel to balance a 1,000 pound motorcycle.
